SOLID WASTE COLLECTION, DISPOSAL,
RECYCLING, & RELATED SERVICES
The City of Argo, Alabama (hereinafter referred to as the “City”) invites and will receive Proposals for Solid Waste collection and disposal, as well as limited recycling Services, from qualified and responsible Service providers, for City-wide Garbage collection and related Services as described in the Instructions to Bidders and the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Service Agreement & Specifications.
The City provides voluntary Solid Waste collection and disposal services to all residents, property owners and businesses of the City of Argo. In addition, the City is seeking alternate bids in relation to the collection of Trash items that are NOT considered to be residential garbage including, without limitation, tree limbs, grass clippings, leaves, household furniture items, mattresses, bed springs, wood, small debris, cloth, boxes, and other similar materials as well as alternate bids related to recycling services.
The City will receive sealed Contractor Proposals in response to this Invitation at City of Argo City Hall, c/o City Clerk, located at 100 Blackjack Road, Argo, AL 35173 until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19 2021. All Contractor Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time and that location.
All Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Argo and plainly marked “Proposal for Solid Waste Collection and Disposal”. Facsimile or electronic submissions will not be accepted.
Proposals in response to this Invitation must be submitted using the fully completed forms attached hereto and in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders. The required bid bond must accompany the Contractor Proposal as required by the Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Argo reserves the right to waive any formality, to reject any or all bids, and to make any award in a manner that is in the best interest of the City. Any award pursuant to this Invitation shall be considered as an exclusive franchise subject to the terms and conditions of this Invitation and the Contract Documents as awarded by the City.
Copies of all bid documents are available at the Argo City Hall located at 100 Blackjack Road, Argo, AL 35173, during normal hours of operation.
