Fire Chief Scott Payne

Chief Scott E. Payne began his fire service career as an Explorer with Birmingham Fire and Rescue in 1996. He began volunteering with Center Point Fire and Rescue in 1998. Scott began his professional firefighting career in June of 2000 with the City of Argo, where he has moved up through the ranks. He became a firefighter for the City of Trussville in 2002, where he still serves today as a Lieutenant. Scott has numerous professional qualifications including, an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Wallace State and a Bachelor in Public Safety and Health Administration from Athens State. Scott is married to his wife, Amanda, of 21 years and they have two children, Tyler (20), Ava Claire (14). Scott is a member of North Park Baptist Church and an active member in his community. In his spare time, he enjoys training for triathlons, of which he’s completed several.
